Greetings!

Fall Arts Festival

Radiant Hands is looking for volunteers to help at the Fall Arts Festival on Nov. 8th and 9th. We are looking for budding artists, who can donate a few hours to create henna tattoos. You can sign up for 2-3 hour blocks on either (or both days). Come with a friend, we can guarantee lots of fun, fresh air and  feeling great about helping raise money for a worthy cause.  Contact Pat and let her know when you would be available to come. We would like to have at least 3 people all the time, with more during the busy time of 1-4pm.  Please help so we can make a schedule for each day.
In the market?
Salma Baseer (352-505-3817) has arrived from Pakistan with some new Shalwar Kameez outfits.

She can take special orders for brides, weddings, men and children. Salma can also provide wedding planning services.

Her business name is Salma's Boutique & Bridal. So if you are in the market for a new outfit (Eid is coming up), contact Salma.

I Heart IslamNew Coffee Mugs

Radiant Hands has received some new coffee mugs. For a donation of only $5.00 we will give you a mug. Check out other items available for different donation amounts.

Fun Spot Orlando

Jean, Nike and Pat traveled down to Orlando on Oct. 12th to Fun Spot Orlando. The park was closed to the general public for the afternoon, and opened to Muslims as an Eid celebration (approximately 1500 people showed up for the day). Radiant Hands set up a booth to distribute information and try to raise awareness and money. We were hugely successful in reaching out the the community from Orlando. We handed out approximately 275 candies attached to our business card and handed out brochures describing the organization and our efforts. We were able to sell a couple of tshirts and a coffee mug while there. Although we were not as successful generating donations, I'm sure we touched a few hearts regarding the plight of women in North Central Florida. We have a couple of pictures on the website
