Did anyone notice the sudden change of weather?  Here in Colorado it was very dramatic!  In fact, summer wasn't officially over when it began to snow!  This is a great reminder about how much control we really have, or not, over some things in our lives.  Can't do much about the weather, what else do we talk about that we can't do much about?  What can we have affect on?
 
 
I ask these question because often we want things to be different, but we have no control, and sometimes little influence, over that change.  Yet, we are left powerless.  We do have control over what we say and do, and how we react in our lives.  We do have control over taking care of ourselves!  Read on for tips to prepare for winter.

The change of seasons 
Has anyone noticed the change?  It's in the air, it's in the light, it's in the things we do.  Autumn is the time when there is balance between light and dark, it is a time of harvest and completion.  You see it in the natural world and you see it in ourselves, if we become aware of our natural rhythms.

Top Ten Tips for a Strong Immune System

What can you do to prepare & strengthen your immune system?  Make personal self care a priority!    Two of the most common immune suppressors are poor nutrition and unmanaged stress.  What can you do to improve either area?
 
Top ten ways to improve and strengthen your immune system-
1)  Vary diet and nutrition-Varied eating with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and quality protein
 
2) Keep hydrated-1/2 your weight in water ounces; your organs and processes require sufficient amounts to operate normally.
 
3) Reduce your stress/learn to relax                   
·   Breathing or Mindfulness practice
·   Stay present
·   Manage time
·   Positive frame of mind
 
4) Exercise & move your body!
