Meet our featured staff member...

Leanne Condray

Other than the paycheck and your alarm clock, what keeps you coming in to CECPD every morning?

I love my job. It gives me great pleasure to help someone in their Professional Development journey. I talk to many people every day, answering questions from what classes are available, to what training do I need to open a child care in my home. I feel good every day when I go home knowing that I helped someone along their path.

Who do you think is the most important person alive today?

Probably the President...he has many hurdles to jump over every day.

Would you rather be able to fly or be invisible?

Invisible, there are several times that I recall saying, "I wish I was a fly on the wall." Being invisible would be so much fun...especially with my kids.

Your favorite quote or motto:

"We Can Do It"

Your favorite unhealthy treat is?

Diet Coke and ice cream with caramel topping.

Why do you do this kind of work?

I was in the child care field for many years, in the classroom and supervising classrooms.  It is in my blood. I like mentoring, answering questions, and helping people see the potential they have. Teaching and encouraging them to reach their professional goals, and beyond, is rewarding and self gratifying. This is a way that I still have my hand in child care, and strive to make Oklahoma the leader in providing quality child care services.
