Webinar - May 25th

It is that time of year again-time to renew your educator contract with OU.  This year we are excited to offer 2 webinars to help you with this process and answer any questions you may have.  The webinars are no cost to you and can be accessed from the convenience of your computer.

 

WEBINARS DATE/TIMES:

Tuesday, May 25th, at 12:30 pm and again at 6:00 pm. 

Each session is 1 hour long. 

 

Here is the login information for the webinar:

For dial-up Internet users: Approximately 20-30 minutes prior to meeting time click the meeting link below. The necessary plugin will download to your computer. Once downloaded, you will be asked for your name and email address.

For high-speed Internet users
(DSL, Cable, higher): About 5 minutes prior to meeting time click the meeting link below. The necessary plugin will download to your computer. You will be asked for your name and email address.

Tips

 

Tips for Renewing your contract:

1.    Make sure all paperwork is completed and signed.

2.    Read over the contract information carefully.  Be sure to ask questions if you have any.   

3.    Check to make sure your Professional Development Ladder (PDL) Certification is current. If not, you will need to contact the Oklahoma Registry at CECPD to renew.

There will be two more opportunities for you to participate in a webinar.  In these sessions, the discussion will be how to handle difficult participants.  We will brainstorm practical ways you can deal with those people who constantly disrupt your training event and discuss what you can do if participants just won't cooperate.

New Educator Module: Designing Effective Training

 

July 10th from 9:00 to 6:00 in Tulsa

 

Always wanted to develop your own training and make sure the participants learned something valuable and useful in their classroom? In this module, you will learn how to include the core competencies and Environment Rating Scales criteria, and learn how to gain and keep the participants' attention as well as figure out what they learned from your training.

 

This Educator Module meets Educator training requirement plus 8 hours of Professional Development for the PDL.
