Bah Humbug!
Altered Training Documents Can Cause Suspension/Removal From The Oklahoma Registry and REWARD Oklahoma It's easy to see how it might happen. You have to renew your Oklahoma Director's Credential to meet Licensing requirements. You have to renew your Professional Development Ladder to get your check from REWARD Oklahoma. You didn't complete the training necessary, so you think you can just change a certificate date or "borrow" a credential certificate and get the training later. You send it in with your renewal application and ... BUSTED! The Oklahoma Registry staff attempt to verify the training and discover the change. You find yourself suspended from The Registry, or worse, and removed from the REWARD Oklahoma program. It can happen, and it does!
When you sign your participant agreements for the Registry and REWARD programs, you agree that the information provided is accurate, and if falsified can result in permanent removal from the programs. Even if you turn in enough other training to qualify for what you need, you can be suspended or removed for turning in false information or falsified documents.
So what do you do if renewal is approaching and you realize you don't have the necessary training or can't find your certificates? Contact an Oklahoma Registry Advisor for information or assistance. Advisors can help you figure out what training is needed and help you find a training provider. One of the reasons we send out renewal notices 6 to 8 weeks before your expiration date is to allow you time to review your records, find your certificates and contact us if you have any problems. Take charge of your professional development. Know what you need. It will help you meet requirements for Licensing, The Oklahoma Registry and REWARD Oklahoma, and be a better child care practitioner.

Registry FAQs
| :: |
How long will it take to process my application for the Oklahoma Director's Credential or Professional Development Ladder? Processing an application can take up to 30 days from the date of receipt. Applications are processed in the order they are received. Because of this, The Oklahoma Registry staff recommend that you submit your application 4 to 6 weeks prior to the date you need it and that you follow the checklist on the application to ensure everything is enclosed.
|
| :: |
What if I forget to include a form of payment with my application? Because of the volume of applications we receive, The Oklahoma Registry is unable to hold an application for payment. Applications that do not include a form of payment will be returned to the applicant with a request to resubmit the application with a form of payment (check, money order, or approved voucher). Please DO NOT send cash with your application. |
