Customizing Giving for Donors

Learn what Philanthropy is really all about with Bill Somerville!

Bill Somerville
Giving is at the heart of a healthy society.  All donors want their giving to be significant, to have impact, to make something positive happen.  This course is an exploration of philanthropic giving.  How do you find critical intervention points with which to use your money?  How do you measure the effectiveness of your giving? And more!

We invite you to join Philanthropic Ventures Foundation's Bill Somerville for the six-week course "Introduction to the Culture of Philanthropy" offered through U.C. Berkeley's Osher Life Long Learning Institute.

The course will explore topics such as giving in the arts, giving regarding poverty, online giving, and bringing younger generations into philanthropy.  Class discussions will be stimulated by presentations from outstanding practitioners and professionals in the community.
