1. Lisa, you live in Maui - any particular Hawaiian beauty concerns?

Living on Maui is probably one of the healthiest places to live in the world in terms of great food, outdoor activities and low stress! The biggest concern for me is the SUN! Every day I put on sun block form head-to-toe before I leave the house (you can imagine how much I go through)! If i am going surfing, I put on a layer of sunscreen and then add a physical sunscreen block as well.

2. Michele, you live in Connecticut - how do your East Coast beauty concerns differ from your sisters'?
Our weather is so different from the even, tropical temperatures on Maui! Constantly changing environments on the East Coast make it a challenge: dry A/C indoors in the summer alternating with high humidity outdoors, and then dry heat in the winter. It is difficult for me to find a skin care regime to keep my skin well-hydrated, especially because I have such temperamental skin!

3. You are both serious about exercise and taking care of your bodies. How do your designs for swimwear and apres soleil showcase a woman's internal and external beauty?
When we create the collection, we design several options within each print range or model to offer swimsuits and cover-ups for women with different body types. In addition, we pay particular attention to the way we think our color choices will look against different skin tones. We do all this to empower women to showcase their inner and outer beauty. Confidence is a big part of beauty! A little spray tan before is also a good idea, as it hides all the little imperfections!

4. What role do you believe ingestible beauty products and nutritional supplements like BeautyScoop play in overall skin health and beauty?

Lisa: I definitely believe that what you put inside your body is reflected on the outside. I drink a lot of coconut milk and take flax seeds and a multivitamin. I eat in moderation, exercise and make sure I get plenty of protein and fruit. Even though I lead a healthy lifestyle, I drink BeautyScoop every morning because I have really seen the difference in my skin.

Michele: If you feel good inside, it shows on the outside. When I am stressed, it shows immediately on my face. We keep BeautyScoop in the office, in a box right at the water cooler. Shake Your Beauty! Eggnog

GET GORGEOUS WITH THE GUILTLESS LOWFAT EGGNOG

Enjoy one of the great sweet treats of the season without feeling guilty! Try this low fat eggnog recipe. Since only one egg yolk is used here, the eggnog might look a little pale, but you can always add a little brandy, cognac or rum to help out more than just the color! Cheers.

Ingredients:

3/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
1 egg
4 egg whites
1 1/2 cups fat free milk
1 1/2 cups fat free half-and-half
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 packets of BeautyScoop
1/4 cup rum, cognac or brandy (optional)
freshly grated nutmeg to garnish

Preparation:

1. Combine sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a large bowl.
2. Add egg and egg whites, and beat with a mixer for 3-4 minutes.
3. Gently heat fat free milk in a large saucepan.
4. Gradually stir egg mixture into the hot milk.
5. Heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is slightly thickened.
6. Stir in vanilla extract and remove from heat.
7. Let the milk and egg mixture cool a little before blending with fat-free half-and-half milk and 2 packets of BeautyScoop.
8. Cover and chill in the refrigerator.
9. Before serving, add rum or brandy if desired and sprinkle with freshly grated nutmeg on top.
