Celebrating 60 Years of Serving Children

Board members and staff of Blind Babies Foundation and Variety

On Sunday, November 9th, the Bilnd Babies Foundation (BBF) hosted a reception for Variety to celebrate our 60th anniversary. We even had special guests from the Variety chapter in Barbados!

The Blind Babies Foundation was founded in 1949 by Members of the Variety Club of Northern California in response to an epidemic of blindness among premature infants.  They saw the need for services for very young children who were blind and developed a home-based program to keep families intact. Children raised in their own homes with good family support-and with training in developmental skills-have the best chance to be successful in life.

Come Join The Party
Variety's annual holiday party benefiting Blind Babies Foundation wil be held on Saturday December 20th at 11 a.m. in the Screening Room. Lots of kids will be there. Volunteers are needed for face painting, cookie decorating, a smell and sound station. It's a potluck, bring a dish to share. Please RSVP to Ellen.
