Mimio announces MimioStudio 8.0.1 software update 
Mimio is pleased to announce the availability of MimioStudio 8.0.1 software update for Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems. This update includes the addition of Catalan and Basque languages, improvements to the hyperlink and importing functionalities, and resolutions for certain reported issues. Version 8.0.1 is an update to the existing MimioStudio 8.0 software, which introduced the brush pen, shape recognition, free-form screen clipping, and the color picker tool. If you have the Auto-Update* feature enabled, you should have been automatically be notified that the update was available. Upgrade to MimioStudio 8.0.1. There are definitely some great enhancements from the Studio 8 update and MimioTeach firmware, especially when it comes to battery life.
 Longer Battery Life: The update increases MimioTeach active time from 3hrs and 50min to 10hrs and 45min under Alkaline battery use and active time from 5hrs and 14min to 11hrs and 40min when using with rechargeable NiMH batteries. Longer battery life reduces your schools' expenses by eliminating additional battery purchases over the course of a year.
Automatic Shutdown: Automatic shutdown saves battery life by automatically detecting when MimioStudio is not being used. MimioTeach will trigger shutdown after five minutes if MimioStudio is not running or 30 minutes if MimioStudio is running but there is no activity. Low Battery Warning: The low battery warning avoids use interruption with a low battery alert. MimioTeach will beep 3x approximately 1 hr before the batteries die. Once the power is drained completely, the MimioTeach bar will give the same 3 beeps, followed by 1 longer tone and then shut off. Battery Saver: The battery save extends battery life by running off USB cable or power supply even with batteries installed. It also prevents unintentional battery use by shutting down MimioTeach upon disconnecting or unplugging (push the power button to turn MimioTeach device back on). | 
All these leaves in our yard mean the seasons are changing and so is the atmosphere at Engaging Technologies! This is an exciting time for our company as we begin to see the framing go up in our new building, our office space taking shape, and a foundation for the top-of-the-line training room that is in the works.
