Student's 'Click' In Class

Ohio
State researchers reported early research results in the American
Journal of Physics earlier this year and found that Ohio State
University students who used the devices to answer
multiple-choice questions during physics lectures earned final
examination scores that were around 10 percent higher - the equivalent
of a full-letter grade -- than students who didn't. Interestingly
enough, they also noted that clickers helped female students more than
male students.

Greetings!
The school year is flying by and the first quarter is almost to an end already. I've had a great opportunity to travel the area and see some great classes in
action.
During the first quarter we were able to hold 34 training opportunities
and 9 on-site demonstrations to share the good word of CPS with new users. We
look forward to the rest of October and continuing to train teachers all across
the area to implement CPS successfully.

Annotate Over Desktop Mode
This adds a new dimension to
Workspace software which allows you write directly on top of the desktop or your
favorite software application. Notes can be saved to a Workspace page or easily
discarded.
Math Tools
Interactive math lessons just
became more powerful with Workspace Math Tools. The Compass, Ruler, Protractor
or Triangle can be used on any Workspace page or even with Annotate over Desktop
mode. Combine Workspace annotation tools with the math tools to more clearly
demonstrate measurement techniques and measurement

Clickers & the Election
|
 You can't escape the election fever that has enveloped our country, so if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!
This is a great time of year to encourage interest in government and the electoral process by holding a mock election at your school, and clickers make that so easy.
By encouraging younger students to research the issues and the candidates, students will have increased knowledge of the political process and may be more likely to vote when they are of legal age.
Several schools and universities are showing the debates with clickers locked and loaded. At Washburn University's debate viewing, members of the community even came out to watch the debates. Data collected by clicker was then compared to national polls. At some debates, opinions were asked before and after the debate and then compared.
