Greetings!
Summer is upon us and now it's time
for teachers to take time off (Ha, ha, ha--Yeah right, if they only
knew!)
Our latest versions of both CPS for PC and Workspace ExamView Edition are
now out and shipping. Our entire product line is beginning to come together
since the acquisition of Interwrite Learning, making the interactive classroom
easier and easier with eInstruction.
As you can see by our "New User"
list, Nebraska
is still exploding as the word spreads of how "clickers" continue to transform
classrooms all across the state.
Now is a great time to schedule your
fall in-service times, some schools are already booking in November through
February, so don't wait much longer. If you know your schedule and dates, call
now to reserve time to further aide your staff in implementing their clickers to
the fullest.
Be looking for new versions on the
Mac side in the coming weeks as we continue to keep CPS ahead of the curve for
our users.
Sincerely,
Dustin Frank

The Next-Gen Lecturer
Math teacher, Dan Meyer, has created some great videos on how video can impact teaching and learning and shared them on his blog. My favorite video of Dan's (See it HERE!) involves something that ANY teacher can do using just a digital camera.
There's not a lot of fancy digital video or movie editing stuff; it's simply being aware of teachable moments outside the classroom and using a digital camera to bring them into your classroom.
Dan mentions the importance of a carefully selected image and really strong questioning. Incorporate that with the use of classroom clickers, and just imagine how your classroom could evolve!
It got my wheels to turning. Dan teaches math, but how could you incorporate this into your subject matter? There's a way...just start thinking outside the box.
