For Robert Loffredo, president and owner of Oxford Contractors, being in the construction business is about much more than delivering a beautiful finished product, though they undoubtedly do. Construction, for him, is also about the process and ensuring his clients have a positive experience from start to finish. Loffredo is somewhat of a perfectionist, and he and his team pride themselves on their honesty, integrity, and organization, as well as their ability to navigate the inevitable hurdles that arise on the job. There's one simple reason why: Loffredo has been in the business almost 30 years, which is really saying something when you hear that he's only 45. Construction runs in his family. He started working with his father, uncles, and brothers for their New York business when he was still in high school. He's worked as a plumber, electrician, mason, roofer, and every other niche trade that goes into construction. Needless to say, he's done and seen it all. But as a student of Parsons School of Art and Design and the New School for Social Research, he also has the formal education to back it up. While in New York, he managed and completed high-end jobs on Park and Madison Avenue. for high-end clients like Tiffany & Co., Estee Lauder, and the Museum of Modern Art, among other big names. He moved to Texas 13 years ago, where he has been making a name for himself since. To each project, whether a small powder room renovation or a 10,000 sq. ft. River Oaks custom build, he brings his vast knowledge and experience, meticulous nature, and professional integrity. Contact Oxford for any design, renovation, or new build needs, and find more information about Robert Loffredo and Oxford Contractors at www.OxfordContractors.com or on The Red Vault.

Such great news! We are pleased to announce the addition of Rousset Antiques and Textiles at The Gray Door.

The Gray Door
3465a W. Alabama @ Marquart
Houston, TX. 77027
(713) 521-9085

Owner Kathy Rousset was one of New Orleans finest dealers for years. She first opened shop on Magazine Street and then moved over to the French Quarter. After Hurricane Katrina hit, it didn't look too good on the business front. She decided to close shop and move with her husband to Austin to be near family. She dabbled in the antique shows, but yearned to be back in business, full force. Fortunately for us, she has paired with the Donna Brown at The Gray Door. She has a fantastic eye for the bold and the beautiful, offering a stunning collection of 18th century European antiques, textiles and pillows. Her inventory blends in so well and the showroom really looks spectacular. In August, look forward to another dealer pairing with Angie Tyner of Atlanta joining The Gray Door team. Check out this new addition soon. We know you won't be disappointed!

Caroline Ellsworth has such refined taste! She has recently styled her area at Twenty Six Twenty with a wonderful mix of antiques, lighting and upholstered pieces. Last week she brought in great selection. The tufted sofa is one of my favorites, as is the gorgeous French chandelier. She also has several benches covered with soft linen and generously filled with down feathers. Caroline is a direct importer and specializes in 18th, 19th and 20th century Continental furnishings. She travels the globe several times a year to bring you excellent and stylish goods. Stop by to view her latest inventory.

There is a lot going on at Antiques & Interiors on Dunlavy. Yesterday I stopped by and had a nice visit with owners Mona, David and manager Ken. One of the new additions is a wonderful space by Pam Pierce of Pam Pierce Designs and Shannon Bowers of Shannon Bowers Design. Pam is a well recognized interior designer with a strong following and her daughter, Shannon, posses a sophisticated style like her mother. The two designers have an eclectic mix of items from furniture for your favorite pet, to an unusual metal prayer bench.

Kimberly Williams has a charming space with beautifully upholstered chairs, sparkling crystal sconces and lots of accessories. She has a great mix of items from country French to English formal.

Ken Bernstein of Ex Domus has expanded his space, creating vignettes resembling rooms from old Tuscany. From the plaster walls to the rough hewn beams, this dealer has gone all out so that you can envision how great these pieces will look in your home. Also a quick reminder, the June Tent Event is still going strong. Dealers continue to bring in items daily. Shop in air conditioned comfort for savings of 25% and more. Cash or check is appreciated.
