Greetings!

Spring has truly arrived! It's that time of year to get out and do some serious shopping, Spring decorating, and hit the town for some great events.

I stopped by Found (2422 Bartlett Street, Houston, Texas, 77098 ph. # 713.522.9191 www.foundforthehome.comyesterday. This hidden gem is well known to the seasoned designer and decorator alike. Owners Ruth Davis and Aaron Rambo bring a clever and fascinating blend of furnishings to the design scene here in Houston. Their mantra, "living with authenticity", is brilliantly showcased in their shop. It has a very design savvy feel to it. They mix classic 18th-19th century European antiques with vintage retro and industrial "urban" chic. It works rather well and it is evident by grasp on smart design with style. This is a place that inspires and if you have not been here, it is a definite must see!

As most designers know, an important rug can really anchor a room and can also be the focal point or starting point for any great interior. Matt Camron (2702 Sackett Street, Houston, Texas, 77098 ph. # 713.528.2666) is one dealer that should be seriously considered if you are in the market for rugs. Matt Esfahani founded Matt Camron Rugs and Tapestries back in 1980. Today, the company has expanded to several cities, yet remains one of the finest dealers of antique rugs in the state. Aside from the large inventory of important antique  rugs, they have started the Matt Camron Collection, which includes fine antique rugs, reproduction "antiques", striped Dhurry, and wool and silk Tibetan, to name a few. Matt, along with his lovely daughter Sarah and a very knowledgeable staff, can assist you with all your design needs. Visit the collection at www.MattCamron .com and www.theredvault.com

Gray Door
The best way to describe the Gray Door Antiques (3465a West Alabama @ Marquart, Houston, Texas, 77027, ph. # 713.521.9085)is beautifully eclectic. Visiting the loft- like showroom never seems to disappoint. Meander through the wonderful array of antiques, dating from the 16th century, to deco and mid century modern pieces. The shop is bursting with fantastic accessories, too. A great surprise is the large selection of oil paintings and framed prints. These whimsical monkey prints are guaranteed to put a smile on your face! Latest additions include these custom made antique tapestry pillows-a true luxury that will add that special touch to any setting. Check out their newest inventory at www.graydoorantiques.com and www.theredvault.com.
