This month at The Antique Company, (3100 Alabama Court, Houston, Texas 77027 ph# (713)463-9773) owner Marilyn Barfoot is highlighting a beautiful collection of watercolors from the very talented artist Liduine Bekman. The attention to detail and the depth of color is staggering. The pricing is quite reasonable and these fine pieces of art will add to any collection.
I stopped by yesterday to see the latest shipment at Kirby Antiques (2927 Ferndale, Houston, Texas 77098 ph# (713)520-1600). Blake Karambis has an eye for the unique and he has a flair for mixing styles. He recently purchased some great finds from France and Italy. The stylish coral settee is gorgeous and his collection of statuary is one of the best. Be sure to check out the trend setting Art Deco chairs, tables and consoles, too.
