Gentlemen, Start Your Engines! Documentary, Dinner & a Side of Discussion
 Fondly described as "Talladega Nights meets Catcher in the Rye," Racing Dreams" chronicles a year in the life of three tweens who dream of becoming NASCAR drivers. Though they aren't old enough for driver's licenses, Brandon, Josh and Annabeth race extreme go-karts at speeds of up to 70 miles per hour in the World Karting Association's National Pavement Series, the "Little League" of professional racing. Sounds of New Jersey is a collection of video and audio clips of great musical talents that came out of New Jersey.
Here are two physics video clips that range from sublime to the ingenious. Joseph Herscher of Brooklyn, builds a Rube Goldberg contraption called a "page turner". The second clip is truly mezmorizing in showing pendulum waves.

9 Essential Books on Reading and Writing - Writers and would-be writers may want to invest in some of the books described in loving detail here. Yes, Strunk & White is here (is it required by law that any such list must start with The Elements of Style?), but the practical advice from writers like Anne Lamott, Stephen King, Ray Bradbury, and Hemingway may be more useful. (For writers of nonfiction I would add William Zinsser's On Writing Well to this list.)
