We are happy to hear that the information in our March 16th newsletter was helpful to many of our readers. Unfortunately, we need to correct an error in the newsletter. In the fourth paragraph, we noted that:
"If you are concerned that you have suffered or will suffer a radiation exposure, there are precautions you can take. Potassium iodide or KI pills (in a 130 mcg dose)..."In fact, that should have been 130mg not
mcg. It would have been impossible to make such an error with the pills themselves, but we very much regret any confusion it may have caused.
And please note, while emissions of nuclear radiation continue to dissipate harmlessly as the plume crosses the Pacific, in the event of a full nuclear meltdown, the hazards of radiation exposure would increase for everyone in Japan as well as the islands and continents across the Pacific. Do please keep an eye on the potential health hazards.
We continue to send our thoughts and prayers to the people of Japan, and we thank our readers for accepting our apology for the above-noted error.
With Warmest Regards,
