My! How the days fly by...
It is hard to believe that we are just a week away from Thanksgiving! (and somehow we went from celebrating the start of the new millennium to nearly the start of 2010!) But here we are.
The inn is now closed for the off-season. And as I am so often asked, "what do you do all winter?" Well, actually there are three of us in the offices everyday during the week. We are busy answering your calls and attending to all the day-to-day business that doesn't change with the season. And then, believe it or not, we are already planning for next season! (and I must admit, I am also getting a head start, so that I am able to escape on a pretty big vacation)
After all these years, (September was my 20th anniversary!) nothing about this place surprises me. Although there are quite a few people that find the place somewhat Shining-esque! The lobby is pretty dark and quiet. And it is often cold enough to see your breath. Mom's is probably the creepiest spot because it is so vast and empty. The wind and the reflections make you sure you heard something you didn't! (o-oo-hhh-aaa-hahaa!)
Ok, seriously Halloween is over, let's get back to work...
We are happy to announce that our 2010 rates are set. And, as requested - in some instances - rates have come down! Just to clarify, our Good, Better, Great rates are designed to let you know just what a deal you are getting! You will always see our always affordable published Room rate. Followed by all our discounts - Good, Better, Great!
The concept is that we build on demand. And as it increases and supply shrinks - rates increase. What does that mean to you? In order to get the best rates - book early (like now!) or during low demand periods (like midweek). And the easiest way to find the best deal is to search our availability calendar.
We have also created a short survey that will help us find out a little bit more about you and what you expect from us! It won't take long - promise!
So I guess that is enough for now. It's starting to get dark here. And I hear someone playing piano upstairs...
