Join Jay King to Drop Real Game

Jay King
Los Angeles - Industry veteran, musician and producer, Jay King has always been controversial.  Forever the maverick, King is credited, among many things, with creating a new chapter in music history by independently producing, pressing, marketing and promoting the biggest selling 12-inch single in history, "Rumors" by the Timex Social Club.  He paved the path for independent record companies and was actually a forerunner to the current state of the music business, initially demonstrating the true power of the committed artist operating outside of the confines of the major label.

With his Blogtalk radio show "Jay King on BlogTalkRadio" at http://www.BlogTalkRadio.com/Jay-King, Jay King ventures off the music trail to get topical about subjects spanning the field of social issues covering topics such as child rearing to gang-banging to corny pick-up lines.  Every Sunday, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. PST, he is joined by co-host/sidekick Robert Redwine in an interactive medium of lively discussion and debate.

Always introspective and highly entertaining, King is evolving into an insightful talk show host. With his latest interview topic "Pimps, Players & Hustlers... The Real Truth About the Game," he interviews legendary pimps Gangsta Brown, Bishop "Magic" Don Juan and Ron Newt exploring his most controversial topic to date.  Serving up a real dose of "player" game to his ever expanding listening audience, Part I of the dialogue can be heard  archived at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/Jay-King  and Part II will air live this Sunday, August 2 from 2:00 p.m. PST to 4:00 p.m. PST.  Listeners can participate in the dialogue via live chat or call in at (347) 205-9366.

"The pimp lifestyle has always been a source of fascination for the Black community, hip hop music and culture and mainstream Hollywood even.  But so much of it is folklore and myth. It's often portrayed as glamourous and the reality is it is not!  I thought what better way to honestly explore this topic than via my Blogtalk show where listeners have the opportunity to interact one on one with real life pimps from the life.  We initially only had one show planned, but the first show proved so explosive, we had to bring the players back for part 2," shares King.

Gangsta Brown, Bishop "Magic" Don Juan, and Ron Newt are indeed legendary pimps. Gangsta Brown became world renowned when his prostitute, Divine Brown was arrested after her liaison with actor Hugh Grant.  Former pimp Magic Don Juan is now a hip hop personality of sorts these days.  Often seen alongside rapper Snoop Dogg, he has authored books, appeared in music videos and even has his own ringtones.  Ron Newt is an avowed pimp and the father of 90's boy group sensation Newtrons on MCA Records.  His memoir the self-published, "Bigger Than Big" sent waves throughout the entertainment industry as he documented his life in the music business with his sons, rubbing shoulders with the biggest celebrities in the business, including Michael Jackson

In addition to his weekly radio show, King keeps busy touring with his group, Club Nouveau, promoting his new solo CD, "Open Book," and interviewing music legends via his live webcast broadcast at http://www.KulaksWoodshed.com.  Keep up with him at   http://www.jayking.ning.com and http://www.myspace.com/jayking3music.
