Begin with a Fitness Assessment - body fat, weight and girth measurements, performance tests, and goal setting - so you know where you are now and to assist your trainer in designing a program to achieve your goals. The Fitness Assessment ($100 value) is FREE with any of the packages described below. Then workout with you trainer as many times a week as you choose and do trainer-assigned homework on other days. Gain knowledge and insight from the weekly blogs and monthly newsletters to help you stay on track. Decide on the number of weeks that work for you. Here are some options:
Quick Start: Buy a 6 pack of 1 hour ($350) or half hour ($207) sessions and schedule them as needed with your trainer. Good for motivated, experienced exercisers who just need a little guidance to get started again.
Jump Start: Buy a 12 pack of 1 hour sessions ($690) and use them as needed to learn how to exercise and then segue into exercising on your own. For example, do 2 weeks of 3 sessions a week, 2 weeks of 2 sessions a week, and 2 weeks of once a week. Good for motivated but inexperienced exercisers. A 12 pack of half hour sessions ($408) could be just right to get not-so-motivated veterans back in the swing.
Good Start: Give yourself a really good chance at success by buying a 25 pack of 1 hour ($1375) or half hour ($825) sessions. Maybe you do 3 sessions a week for 8 weeks (plus 1), or twice a week for 12 weeks (plus 1), or do 4 weeks of 3 sessions, 4 weeks of 2 sessions, and 5 weeks of once a week. Great for beginning exercisers who need to establish the workout habit, avoid the most common mistakes, and work through the soreness and obstacles that always seem to torpedo your best efforts on your own.
Sure Start: Ensure your success with 50 sessions (1 hour) at $50 each ($2500) to keep you going for so long that you'll forget how to live without exercise! You could do 17 weeks at 3 times a week (minus 1) or 25 weeks at twice a week, or wean yourself off your trainer with 8 weeks at 3 per week, 8 weeks at 2 per week, and 10 weeks at once a week. Add Biometrics and you are fully committed to a new healthy lifestyle, a new body, and a new you!
Eat Smart Start: Add the Biometrics 6 week eating plan to any of the above for only $150, a savings of $75. Biometrics is an eating plan for 3 snacks and 3 meals a day, customized for you by the Registered Dieticians who run the program. You pick from their menus what you want to eat at each snack/meal, bearing in mind your schedule and resources. They send you a binder that gives you a shopping list each week, and tells you what and how much to eat at every meal and snack. No planning, no thinking, all you have to do is execute. NEW! Zumbatomic Class for 7-11 year olds
Start your kids off right on their fitness journey with dance fitness sensation Zumbatomic, coming to Healthy Habits! Designed for kids ages 7-11, this is a high energy, fun, kid appropriate, Latin inspired dance/fitness program for boys and girls. Zumbatomic originated from adult Zumba Fitness. With the epidemic of childhood obesity on the rise, Zumbatomic has become a very popular and effective way for boys and girls to get fit while having fun dancing and playing organized dance/fitness games. The children will enjoy 45 minutes of games and fitness and will try to learn one new dance/song at each session. At the end of the 8 weeks we will have a small recital to show parents what the children have learned during the class.
Zumbatomic is being offered every Wednesday, January 18 - March 7 from 4:30 until 5:15 at Healthy Habits. Instructor is Amy of Amy's ABSolute Fitness. Cost is $50 per child, with a minimum of 6 students needed and a maximum of 10 accepted, so children get plenty of personal attention.
