Trainer? Coach? Both!
Are you thinking about hiring a personal trainer but can't afford or don't want one 3 times a week? Are you motivated to workout but just need some guidance? Do you need accountability, not supervision?

A trainer can help. We are contractors, just like builders or financial planners. You hire us to do the job that you want done; we advise you on the best way to do it, we tell you the cost, and you hire us or not.

If the job is to gworkout with equipmentet you ready and able to workout on your own, the solution may be to start out at 3 times a week with a trainer, but then taper off to once a week, then once a month, maybe even once a quarter. Since changing up the workout is important, I would advise some kind of continuing contact with a trainer, but the timing can be yours. In this case, the trainer should be transitioning to more of a coach over time, helping you to understand the basics of planning your own workouts and workout schedule to achieve your goals.

At Healthy habits, we sell our sessions individually, or in Fit Flex packages of 6, 12, or 25 sessions. That way you do not have to be committed to a regular schedule or even a certain number of workouts a week with us, unless that's what you want. (Of course, we love to have clients who do commit to an on-going schedule!)

The point is, you are in charge. You decide if you want more of a trainer or more of a coach.

News of the Month

Star of the Month is MF for multiple reasons. She works hard and has greatly improved her back health, she has referred many a new client to us, and she was featured in a Commercial Appeal article. Along with Trainer Gaye, she had 2 pictures on the front page of the Appeal section and was quoted with some very pithy comments about the client - trainer relationship. She even gave her age - which I'm not about to do.

SM's dog Patrick makes the newsletter again, for the same reason as last time. Can you tell me what that reason is? They are off to the Keys for 3 months, so Patrick can work on his tan.

Jenna and Giraffey came to visit again with her mom MelMc, but she didn't workout this time.
Instead, she explained to us why kids should get presents on 3 Kings Day. No traction there.

JM had his lowest round ever, entirely due to his improved golf fitness. Well, partially. Maybe.

I invited longtime friend / client RR to my house for New Years Eve, where she spent the whole night soliciting the other guests for the name of a "good" trainer. Then, she begged off her regular session with a "migraine". She's gonna be one sorry chick after her next workout because "good" trainers never forget!

Healthy Habits is now on FaceBook. You are all invited to be friends, and hopefully fans. In fact, it would be a big help if you would.  Please click here to sign up.

Our blog page is up and running on the website, or you can also see them on FaceBook.
