Filled with opportunity and full of potential, the new year is off an running at a frantic pace.

It's been amazingly encouraging to hear so many of you share how God is working in your businesses and ministries to open doors of opportunity.

It has also been just as inspiring to see young adults like our friend in the series, A Twenty Somethings Business as Mission Journeycatch the vision for integrating faith and life together.

There's just something about the idea of combining business and ministry that continues to capture the hearts and minds of entrepreneurs of all ages.

As the new year begins, there's so much to be thankful for. May we continue to be thankful for what God is doing and praying for the opportunities ahead in 2008.

Acton MediaThe Acton Institute's new documentary, The Call of the Entrepreneur, tells the story of three entrepreneurs-a banker who risked his savings, a dairyman who risked his farm, and a refugee from Communist China who risked his life. Why do their stories matter? Because, as the film explains, how we view entrepreneurs as a class-as greedy or altruistic, as virtuous or vicious-shapes the destinies of individuals and nations.

Experience it up Close :: Vision Trips with Hope International - Chris Horst
Hope InternationalMicrofinance, when practiced by committed Christ-followers, can be thought of as one of the quintessential combinations of business and missions. Microfinance institutions offer small loans to the entrepreneurial poor, empowering them to start or expand businesses that provide for their families. Christ-centered microfinance institutions, such as HOPE International, have the privilege of ministering to not only physical poverty but also spiritual poverty. Now, HOPE International (HOPE) is offering a unique opportunity for those who want to see what business as mission looks like on the ground in a developing country.
