Exhibit Design-Immerse Yourself.

Ideally the exhibit environment should tell a story by creating a dimensional narrative that expresses a client's mission and vision. Accessibility and attention are paramount in designing an exhibit. Information should be easy to take in because viewers are often standing and/or have different levels of education. Engage visitors in a story with in a story quickly immersing them in the theme.
View the visual created for the GEF (Global Environment Facility) booth for the Conference on Biodiversity-COP in Nagoya, Japan. The GEF is the largest funder of projects to improve the global environment. It provides grants to developing countries for projects related to biodiversity, climate change, international waters, land degradation, the ozone layer, and persistent organic pollutants. This exhibit dealt with Biodiversity. Our job was to create an environment that made the GEF story compelling and meaningful.
Large 7' panels surround the booth's 3 sides with endangered species immediately enveloping the visitor upon entry. Twenty-three photos of endangered species were selected, enlarged with a fractal program, and silhouetted in photoshop. A rain forest photo was purchased and enlarged to span the entire 3 panels. The endangered species were carefully composed over the background, in InDesign, to create the reality of a forest/ocean environment. Text and logos were added on the final version prior to printing. See the enlarged panels below: left, center, and right.
