Eye on the Prize
Keeping an Eye on the Prize-sales/fund development/new markets involves taking deliberate steps to keep your organization or company in the public eye via effective publication design. The photo above left, is of the 2008 Annual Report for the Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital. In tough economic times, they recognize the need to manage resources to keep the focus on their prize-the girls and programs-yet continue to produce publications that reflect the quality of their organization and leadership. On the right, view the cover for the coffee table book celebrating Camp CEO and female leadership. "The real story here is about the girls, their dreams for the future and how they hope to transcend challenges to become the next and greatest generation of leaders."

Banking on It
Communicating visually is important to the World Bank. They depend on donors to fund projects that improve the lives of the poor and depend on well-designed publications to provide these donors with a vision of a organization that is well run. The cover of the Energy Sector Management Assistance program is displayed above and is a perfect opener to a report that communicates the work done to overcome the challenges of providing environmentally sustainable, affordable energy to people.
