Mel-O-Dee Stables, located in White Bear Lake, MN, has been boarding horses and serving the Minnesota horse community since 1971. In that time, Mel-O-Dee has offered almost every kind of riding experience from Dressage, Western, H/J, Eventing, Driving, Games, to Trail Riding, and more. Many of us who have boarded at Mel-O-Dee are now professional trainers, equine vets, stable owners, and tack shop owners.
Now, Mel-O-Dee has added the equine sport of vaulting to its' accomplishments. The Vaulting Team, under the direction of Sharon Sloper, includes students of all ages. It's interesting to note that vaulting is not only the safest of the equestrian sports, it is documented safer than riding bicycles, playing on playground equipment, and even playing soccer, according to the American Vaulting Association (AVA).
