Greetings, Media Conferees
The Memphis Conference was varied and
dynamic. We enjoyed many presentations and
discussions and gave thought to important
issues confronting us as media reformers.
Yet something very critical was all but
missing from the menu. The issue of
electronic vote theft was relegated to one
small side session and a couple of ad hoc
meetings.
My guess is that most media reformers remain
largely uninfomed about the crisis and its
grave implications for our democracy and for
the media reform agenda itself. I saw
instead a prevailing optimism that, with the
dramatic shift in the political winds
culminating in the recent transfer of power,
legislative and ultimately regulatory doors
and ears would begin to open.
The notion that the transfer of power was a
fluke of timing easily reversed at the next
election, reclosing doors and ears and
shutting us out once again, was very foreign
to most with whom I spoke. Again and again I
heard some variation of "We had our
suspicions going in but, if the election was
rigged, why did the Republicans lose?"
As media reformers, you will hardly be
surprised that the MSM ignored the paper,
which has been posted on our website
www.ElectionDefenseAlliance.org
since
mid-November, circulated over the Net, and
sent out over USNewswire
to thousands of
potential news outlets. I hope that you will
do better than the MSM, ignoring neither the
paper nor this grave and unabated threat to
our democracy. By and large, the people do
not know and it is essential that they be
informed.
I am a co-founder of Election Defense
Alliance and co-author of a paper entitled
"Landslide
Denied" that presents the powerful
evidence of massive systemic vote theft in
2006 and explains why it was not enough
(i.e., how it was possible to rig and lose).
Please feel free to send me your feedback and
help spread the news. If you would like to
work with us and/or have ideas for how we can
best cooperate in getting the word out, I am
very open to hearing from you. The sad but
bracing truth is that, until we succeed in
reforming the media, we ARE the media.
Tag, we're it.
Thank you and best wishes,
