Unfinished Business as Legislature Session Winds Down
With only a few weeks left before the New York State Legislature goes into recess, the Rochester Business Alliance is stepping up efforts to ensure our lawmakers take the appropriate actions to help our economy.

In addition to paid family leave, there are two other proposals that need to be addressed: one could significantly help the economy and one could be a problem if certain provisions are added.
Tell Your Legislators to Oppose Paid Family Leave
The New York State Legislature is currently considering a paid family leave proposal which will greatly increase the cost of doing business, particularly for small businesses.  This bill would mandate coverage through the state disability insurance fund for employees who take extended time off for illness or the care of a family member or newborn/adopted child.  Join the Rochester Business Alliance in opposing this legislation!
