October! Wow!

Is there anyone but me who remembers those lines from a little poem called "Vagabond Song" that we memorized years ago in school.? As October rolls around and the season o
nce again changes, I'm remembering those lines. And while I'm remembering them, a ton of other memories flood my mind.
Ecclesiastes reminds us that there is a time and a season for everything under the sun! With another changing season, I'm reminded of the "seasons" in our lives! We are all at different places, endeavoring to make each day count in our walk among others.
As I write this, I'm sitting in a shipboard Internet cafe on my last two days of 130 aboard the Coral Princess in Alaska. This has been one big SEASON. One of my goals each season is to be an example of Christianity to people from all walks of life and from all over the world. That's a TALL order, but I attempt it. Now, this season is passing and my Vagabond Song calls me back to other things. When you receive this I'll be speaking on the Oregon Coast for a Lutheran group, and the following weekend I'll be with a Nazarene group in California.
These Alaska summers Alaska are a gift to the extension of Vessel Ministries. Presently, we are finalizing engagements for the first four months of 2012 and beyond.
