We are updating our email policy; clients who
save
mail on the server must keep their mail files
at no more than 20MB at any one time. This
will keep the mail server working efficiently.
The best way to accomplish this is to set
your Outlook (or other email program) to delete
the mail from the server when you down load
it - either immediately or after a few days.
If you have any questions about using
webmail, setting up Outlook or anything else
regarding email, please let us know.

Ideally, every business and organization
would have a good, usable, professionally
designed website. The reality is that many
businesses and organizations have put website
marketing on the back burner, sometimes for
years. As a result, they miss out on many
opportunities to reach their prospects,
clients, donors or members.
Two Windsor entrepreneurs are helping to
remedy the situation by offering two free
websites: one to a business and one to a
non-profit organization. John Waiveris of
Invisible Gold LLC and Paula M. Pierce of
Hosting Connecticut LLC are website designers
and board members of the Windsor Chamber of
Commerce. They have teamed up on may website
projects to offer good, professional design
backed by an easy-to-use administrative
interface that allows the website owner to
keep the site updated him or herself easily
without any specialized knowledge.
The businesses are accepting nominations from
the public for the two free websites. To
nominate a non-profit or a small business,
use the online form or send a one or two
paragraph explanation of how a website would
help them reach their public and fill their
prospects' needs. Include your (the
nominator's) and the business or non-profit's
contact information.

As of October 10, 2009, SSH login will
require a key.
If you do not already log into the servers
using a key, please follow your SSH client
software instructions, usually found under
the help menu, to generate an RSA key. After
the key is generated, upload it to your
/home/user/.ssh folder. Once this is done,
you will be able to log into the server using
the key. Then, when you access the server,
use the command, "su -" to become the root user.
If you are not an SSH user, this change does
not affect you.
