We have begun fall online testing in grades first through fifth using the Measure of Academic Progress test (MAP). The test self-adjusts to find your child's instructional level by asking a series of questions based on correct and incorrect answers given.  Students taking the test for the first time are given questions at their grade level.  The program self-adjusts as the test progresses based on how the child responds. The test is used as one tool to determine growth over the year. Kindergarteners are given the fall test only after a teacher recommendation.

Ms. Lisa will be making the large Peace Day dove (September 13th, at 2:30pm). If you are interested in learning more about the project you can check out the Roots and Shoots website. While all supplies have been donated she could still use some more volunteers. No skills are required, just a sense of humor and willingness to attempt to follow a plan. It should be a lot of fun. Student involvement is strongly encouraged. She will be able to accept a larger number of students if she has more volunteers. Again Ms. Lisa thanks those who have already donated and/or volunteered.  If you are able to volunteer, please email her at, lcarpenter@communitycharter.org.
