Queen Bee's Corner
Please turn in all forms received at the start of school. You also need to read the parent manual and return the last page of the manual with signatures.
Remember students begin coming into the classroom at 8:20am. Please leave a note in the office for the teacher or email the teacher as not to interrupt student's instructional time.
Thank you, car line at dismissal is going great! Please just a gentle reminder, only parents who live or work in the neighborhood should walk up to the building to pick up for dismissal. We have also received some concerns that some parents are entering from the side streets and getting in line in front of those who have been waiting. Please enter from the top of Torrence St. to avoid this confusion.

Reminder, spirit week is coming, be sure you have sent in white t-shirt ASAP for the classroom activity.
Spirit Week schedule:
September 10th - 14th
Monday - inside out day
Tuesday - PJ Day
Wednesday - Crazy Hat/Hair Day
Thursday - Tacky Day (parents are welcome to attend a staff tacky runway assembly at 2pm that afternoon)
Friday - Class shirt day and share out
Peace Day is September 21. If you are willing to assist with a project and/or donate supplies please email Ms. Lisa at lcarpenter@communitycharter.org. We will announce in the September 11th Buzz-ness if we have enough volunteers and supplies to make this project happen.
Supplies needed:
- 4 twin/single white bed sheets
- 2 used bicycle inner tubes (bike shops will have a ton of these lying around)
- Black and Yellow/orange paint
- Three 10ft long poles (aluminum poles, bamboo, or broom sticks work great)
- Stitch witchery (so we won't have to sew)

Girl Scouts: will meet Friday, September 14 at 1:00-2:30 pm. Yearly cost is $12. We are planning a camping trip for October. For more details contact amiller@communitycharter.org
