A Letter from Our President
Happy Spring PCMA Southeast Chapter Members!

Thank you for your continued support of the PCMA Southeast Chapter.  Your board is working hard to deliver quality educational programs every quarter.  Our March program "Contract Essentials for a Recovering Economy and Meeting Industry" was presented by one of PCMA's "Best in Class" speakers, Joshua L. Grimes, Esq.  We were so pleased with all of the positive reviews by everyone.  It was certainly a successful event, and thanks to all of you that joined us.

On April 2, we were excited to offer a new event in an effort to reach out to those of you outside of the Atlanta area - LERN (Lots of Education, Resources, and Networking). This membership initiative took place in Birmingham, AL and educated the meeting professionals in attendance on the benefits of becoming a member of PCMA and provided networking time for PCMA Southeast members.  Thanks to our hosts - Birmingham CVB and the Renaissance Ross Bridge Resort - for a wonderful evening.  We are planning to hold a similar event in Raleigh, NC in the near future.

Our next Educational Program will be presented by Emma Loggins on May 2 at the Georgia International Convention Center - registration is now open. Be sure to mark it on your calendar!  This is your opportunity to obtain CEU's towards a certification, as well as enjoy some valuable networking time before the program.  We are asking all of those attending to help us in supporting the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women & Children by donating desperately needed toiletries.

I look forward to seeing all of you there! Please contact me directly if I can help support your membership needs and expectations at patty-kieffer@mobile.org.

2012 Host Venues Wanted
PCMA Southeast Chapter is currently looking for host venues for their 2012 quarterly programs. These programs are an opportunity for your property to showcase its facilities to PCMA Southeast members who do business in the metro Atlanta area. Hosting a luncheon allows meeting planners to see what your property has to offer - especially ideal for those facilities with recently completed renovations. Ratio of attendees at chapter meetings is 50% meeting planners and 50% suppliers.   For more information, contact Director of Sponsorship Sarah Bigorowski at sbigorowski@gpha.org or (404) 419-8126.

Thank You to Our Sponsor - Mobile Bay CVB!

Contact Patty Kieffer at patty-kieffer@mobile.org  for information regarding $$ incentives $$ being offered to organizations booking 500 rooms or more.
