Lawrence Named an Associate Dean 
Frances Lawrence, Gerald Cire and Lena Grand Williams Alumni Professor in the Department of Finance, has been named as an associate dean of the E. J. Ourso College, effective June 8. Lawrence has been employed by LSU since 1977.

Fraud & Forensic Accounting Conference Nears
The LSU Department of Accounting will host the 2012 Fraud & Forensic Accounting Conference on Monday, July 23 and Tuesday, July 24 at the Crowne Plaza Baton Rouge. Registration for the event is now open to the public.

Van Scotter Technology Educator of the Year
James Van Scotter has been recognized as the eWARDS Technology Education of the Year. Van Scotter won for his work with the Department of Information Systems & Decision Sciences' new Master of Science in Analytics program.
