Child Care Services during the Teacher's Strike (March 5-7) Kinnikinnik Child Care Centre will be offering special full day care for children Kindergarten to Grade 5. The Centre will be open from 7:00 am until 5:30 pm. Cost: $14/half-day per child and $27/day per child that is new to the program. Families whose children are normally attending the program will be charged a reduced fee. For more information, please phone Kinnikinnik Child Care Centre at 250-339-8032. Also note: The School District #71Parent Advisory Council (DPAC) is establishing a contact list of secondary students or stay-at-home parents who are interested in offering childcare. Pendant la relâche du Conseil scolaire francophone, la halte-garderie Creative Kids pourra accomoder les enfants de 11 ans et moins selon la disponibilité des places.
La halte-garderie sera ouverte selon les heures régulières soit les mardis, mercredis et jeudis de 9:00 am à 4:00 pm.

Youth Centre Memberships
Youth memberships are still available for the 2011/2012 year! Memberships that are purchased mid-year are pro-rated and valid until August 31, 2012. Members of THE MOX youth centre are eligible for FREE admission to the Comox MFRC Kids' Club, PreTeen, or Teen Drop-in nights as well as reduced fees for many special activities and events at the Comox MFRC. Memberships are available at the Comox MFRC Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4 pm for all military and defence team dependants. |

In this demo style class, we will take a look at different ways to prepare your next brunch. This class will provide you with tons of inspiration to wow even your ficklest eaters. We will prepare a variety of family friendly brunch items such as eggs Benny, baked asparagus rolls, ham and egg strudels, stuffed French Toast and fruit with a Sabayon sauce. Explore the Comox Valley (Bilingual Tour)

$40 per Person or $70 per Couple The culinary adventure covers different trails throughout the Valley. The tour brings you to artisan food producers, wine makers and brew masters of the valley. See them in action while enjoying a great networking opportunity. On the tour is an artisan pasta studio, a brewery, wineries and a seafood processing plant. A gourmet buffet picnic will showcase some of the best food produced in the region. This culinary tour is designed to help you experience the valley in all its flavourful splendour! By learning some of the basic principles of self-defence you can take control on your life and your safety whether you are at home, in a parking lot, or in the hands of an attacker. Community Announcement - 'Waiting for the Parade' Courtenay Little Theatre, the local award winning theatre company, is preparing a production of Waiting for the Parade by John Murrell. Performed world wide, this play is set in Calgary in the 1940s, as five women wait at home during World War II. The play will be presented in the Sid Williams Theatre, April 13, 14, 20, 21, 22 at 7.30 p.m., with a matinee on Sunday April 15 at 2.00 p.m..
