If so, you are required by EPA to have a current Spill Prevention plan (SPCC) for your farm. The Vermont Agency of Agriculture is holding a training in Middlebury on March 20th from 10:00 to 1:00 at the NRCS/USDA office to help you get your plan written. APRIL 1ST...MANURE SPREADING BAN ENDS We have manure test kits (and soil test kits too) at the Extension office. Let us help make sure you get a good manure sample from each of your manure storages this year!!
DON'T FORGET TO START COLLECTING SOIL, MANURE & COMPOST SAMPLES! The ground is thawing and manure spreading will start soon. During spreading is the best time to collect your manure samples!!
