Greetings!
Despite the snowy start to our 2011 programs, I know you'll be excited to see the depth of our speaker line-up this spring. Our current schedule moves our monthly luncheons back to downtown Des Moines. Don't miss these monthly opportunities to hear from industry experts and network with local professionals.
If you are a candidate gearing up for spring exams, you'll find more than ever it pays to be a member of the society. Affiliate members receive the same benefits as charterholders. Now is the time to join.
Remember: Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.

Upcoming Luncheon Meetings | Tuesday, February 8th Luncheon: Mr. John Tamny, Senior Economist for H.C. Wainwright and Editor of RealClearMarkets.com
Topic: Irrational Exuberance Is Not Inflationary: Why the Fed's Inflation Assumptions Are Incorrect
From Alan Greenspan to Ben Bernanke, the Fed has operated to varying degrees under the assumption that economic growth is the cause of inflation. As a result, in times of prosperity the Federal Reserve has sought to use its interest rate lever to slow down the economy. In truth, growth is the ultimate inflation cure for soaking up excess dollar liquidity. Rather than using monetary policy to temper stock-market rallies all the while limiting employment growth, the Fed should stay out of the way because growth will help it to achieve inflation-free prosperity.
Register here by noon Friday, February 4th. Cost is $30 for members/$35 for non members. February's Luncheon will be held at The Des Moines Club located at 666 Grand Ave., on the 34th Floor of the Ruan Center.
