The NoHo Business Improvement District
If you've noticed things looking better in NoHo, the Business Improvement District has a lot to do with it.
The NoHo BID 2010 report notes, in the Clean Team accomplishments, that 237,360 pounds of trash were removed, 50 trash receptacles serviced, 4,395 graffiti tags removed, and 929 shopping carts recovered. The Safety Ambassadors were likewise busy, making 8,687 merchant contacts, 9,749 patrol checks, 136 illegal vendor contacts, and 1,622 citizen assists.
In the marketing area, we have new branding for the Arts District, with 87 banners installed and a NoHo card program ready to launch. We have a partnership with MTA to promote the district, and four satellite galleries. We also have streetscape improvements with landscaped median and artist-designed benches and trashcans.
Those are just some of the surprising statistics of the district. Your BID tax dollars are at work. For more information and a map of the district, see the flier. |
