                LITTLE FINGERS - BIG TASKS!
Dear Parents and OLF Families,

good manners We know that our Kindergartners are very smart. But did you know that they understand good manners and etiquette and that how they can communicate this by using digital media?

During my routine classroom visits, I noticed the work of our MAP students on the bulletin board in the Tech Lab. These little fingers were given one big task. Our Kindergartners were asked to demonstrate their knowledge about  good manners.

Knowing the letters of the alphabet, typing these on a keyboard, using a mouse, watching the interactive board, making the connection between the teacher's iPad and the interactive stylus, all of these are 21st Century skills at a very young age.

Combining these skills with traditional  values  such  as good manners, enables our Kindergartner to express their understanding of social expectations. It's good to witness that some things do not go out of style, even though the digital tools keep changing each year.
Blessing,
Beate Nguyen, M.A.Ed
Principal
