At OLF family comes first!
Dear Parents and OLF Families,
There is something very special going on at OLF! We all know it, ....we can't deny it! The special collaboration and strong support within our OLF Family is unique! As a family, we treasure our bond, we rejoice at each other's success, we share the sadness within the family, and we celebrate our accomplishments. Most importantly, we do this through prayer, love and respect!
One way that this is evident, is from "Our Little Book of Prayers", located at the entrance of my office. On a daily basis you can see the children and families come to write their prayer petitions for morning assembly. Sometimes, we ask for God's protection, pray for the soul of a loved one, ask for healing for the sick, or give thanks to God for the blessing of a newborn! Whether prayer of sadness or prayer of joy, the expression of sharing and caring for our OLF family is written in many meaningful words!
Another way that we notice this unique family characteristic is the outpouring of support when a family member is in need. Within a few hours, the rest of our OLF family mobilizes, devises strategies and organizes support and relief. From cooked meals, to greeting cards, to carpools, our OLF family takes care of one another.
The reflection of God's love in our daily actions, words and thoughts is evident at school every single day! When I see parents working together to teach their young children about respect for others, I am thrilled! When I see our dads and moms teaching their sons and daughters about school pride and keeping our school beautiful, I am thrilled! When I see parents take time out of their busy schedules to support sound financial stewardship and resource allocation for our school, I am thrilled! When I see parents delivering care packages to one another or to teachers, I am thrilled! Our children are very, very blessed to have such a nurturing family and caring school environment!
As with any family, we are imperfect and fragile, but we have maintained an undeniable expectation of respect, love and support from and for every member of the family! The shared ownership of this responsibility makes our OLF family something very, very precious!
Blessings,
Mrs. Beate Nguyen, M.A. Ed.,
Principal |

After School Care and Childcare at Auction
OLF continues to provide quality childcare after school. We are glad that this service can be provided to support our families' needs. We ask that you follow all guidelines that are set for our ASC. We ask that you pay any fees you owe on time and that our staff is not impacted in their personal time after work, by any late pick-ups!
As shown in the auction section of this newsletter, we will offer childcare at the time of the auction. However, after careful consideration, we are unable to provide this service for free. We apologize for any inconvenience this creates and hope that this does not deflate your enthusiasm for our wonderful Auction event!
A special thank you to our ASC Director, Mrs. Renee Graceffa, and to Miss Bridget Goodreau for all that you do, day in and day out!

FINANCIAL HEALTH AND TRANSPARENCY
| |
You should know that our Finance Committee has been hard at work to ensure that we afford access to Catholic education, while building strong financial health and vision for the future. Our ongoing budgetary review includes itemized evaluation of resource allocation, scholarship funding, fundraising participation and tuition for next year. This is being accomplished with the highest degree of integrity, transparency, and dedication!
A special "thank you" to our Finance Committee members
Darrin Vallone, Tom Senske and Jen Lustado for supporting the administration and lending your financial expertise!
