Our Lady of Fatima Parish School

Welcome to OLF

        Educating students

to become Catholic leaders

for the 21st Century!

 Focusing the lens on learning...

Dear Parents and OLF Families,

Our school maintains a reputation for excellence in all aspects of Catholic education. From morning assemblies to athletics in the afternoon, from prayer at church to digital literacy in our tech lab, when we do something at OLF, we expect to reach 100% of our goal and we achieve it by giving 200% of our effort.

So far this school year, we have been successful "constructing and deconstructing" at the same time. On one hand, the construction of our amazing parish hall by the entire faith community also strengthened our learning community. We quietly produced creative and collaborative solutions to overcome layers of logistics and complexity, which impacted daily school operations during construction.

On the other hand, we slowly deconstructed "common fears of the unknown" that accompany administrative transitions. With your help, we built  essential ingredients of trust, respect and teamwork.

Our strong learning community will be the catalyst for continued growth of  our school and accelerated 21st Century learning. It enables us to  refocus our attention from construction and administrative transition to faith, learning and student success!

Concurrent to addressing external  priorities,  the internal  state-of-our-school  was professionally assessed. Formal and informal observations of students and student learning were conducted in the classroom, in church and on the playground. This allows us to monitor our children's growth, nurture their interests, and support them in their journey of discovery. In addition, clinical  observations of  methodology and review of instructional strategies utilized by faculty and staff, empowers us to gauge the needs for continued professional development and resource planning.

Our students demonstrated incredible potential, shared energizing hopes and expressed big dreams for the future. The insights gained about our children's needs will  influence my decision-making process for months to come. Side-by-side, we will be learning from each other, while serving God and our parish.

                                                                                   Blessings,

Mrs. Beate Nguyen, M.A. Ed.Principal
