Happy Thanksgiving!!
| |
Tomorrow we invite our special persons to join us in a Mass of Thanksgiving. Please remember that, although your child may have a very special person who is under 18, we ask that all our Special Person guests be 18 or older for our celebration tomorrow. Students will arrive for school as usual and attendance be taken at 8:00. Special Persons are to go to their student's classroom and accompany them to church. Students may sit anywhere in the church with their special person. If a Special Person has a student in more than one grade, all may sit with the Special Person. Mass will begin at 8:30. After Mass, our Special Persons are invited to a continental breakfast in our Falcon Quad. Depending on the length of Mass, our celebration should be concluded around 10:30. |

Physical Education - long sports pants for Grades 4-8th | |
New! Beginning with the month of November, our 7th and 8th graders were allowed to come to school in their PE uniforms on the days they have PE. This alleviates their transition time and eliminates the restroom situation for changing of clothes. When we have Mass on Friday or on Holy Days of Obligation, the students go to church in regular, full school uniform and then use recess time to change. Due to the cooler weather, we have added an optional item to the OLF uniform list at True Grits:
Click here! PE long sports pants
All students must wear their regular PE shorts underneath these new long sports pants. No exceptions! I am pleased with the positive experience in Junior High! Therefore, beginning November 28th after Thanksgiving, all students in Grades 4 - 8 will be allowed to come to school in PE uniforms on their respective PE days. For the winter months, the new PE pants should be worn to avoid getting cold or ill. A special thank you goes to Mr. Mike Dolan, for sourcing the right sports winter attire! The kids love it! Please, feel free to inspect a sample in our clinic! |
