Dear Parents and OLF Families,

Despite the unpredictable events of the past week, we are going ahead with the OLF School Picnic this Sunday. As a nation, we remember our heroes on this important day!As a school, we keep a great tradition alive, and everyone is looking forward to meeting up at San Onofre Beach - Camp Pendleton. We will begin at 12:30 p.m. with the opening prayer. Please ensure that you bring the following items with you:

1. school flyer with driving directions (for those who are new to this)
2. an extra dose of patience at the gate - there may be extra security screenings
3. proof of car insurance and registration
4. photo ID
5. yellow pass from your family envelope last week  
6. much anticipation for the fun and games our Student Council has prepared
7. quarters and dollar bills to support the Ambassadors' service project "Support from Home" in collaboration with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf
8. your designated dish/item:
   • MAP - 2nd Grade       Chips, dips & veggies
   • 3-5th Grade               Side dish, Fruit, Salads
   • 6-7th Grade               water bottles (students were notified about the switch)
• 8th Grade                  desserts

Your participation on Sunday will build stronger relationships between parents, faculty, students, and our new and returning families. A special "thank you" goes to our PoF and all OLF volunteers, who have prepared for this great picnic!

Are you ready for a game of tug-of-war? Will you play in the Volleyball game? Come visit me at the face painting station, and show your school spirit by wearing your Student Council T-shirt or your OLF Spirit shirt! I look forward to joining you all for the first time!
