Dear parents and OLF families,
Your willingness to invest in your child's education, your choice of our Catholic school, and your partnership as primary educators of your children is very much valued at Our Lady of Fatima School!
Filled with the love of God, confident in our teacher, Jesus Christ, and guided by the Holy Spirit, we are ready to nurture, encourage, and empower our students, and to welcome you back!
As we begin a new school year, there is much anticipation and buzz running through the hallways of the school. Like positive energy, we are all invigorated by the possibilities and hopes for a fresh start and a successful school year.
The first few days of the school year are always a time of transition, whether our children are entering the classroom for the first time or entering the graduating Class of 2012. We welcome our new students and parents, who joined our vibrant learning and faith community. Our returning students are anxious to see their classmates and friends after a long summer! Our teachers are ready for a new group of young, energetic minds. Finally, to top it all off, there is a new Principal in town!
It is essential for us to listen to our children, and to ask for factual information, thereby reducing the stress of the unknown! Our dedicated school staff and outstanding faculty are standing by to guide us all.
Much has been accomplished during the summer months, including professional development for some faculty, construction of the Parish Hall, new student admissions, parent meetings, playground landscaping, relocation of the 1st grade to a freshly painted classroom, curricular review and alignment to Diocesan updates, upgrades of digital technology, and so on,....
We still have ways to go, before everything is perfect, but we expect to have access to our re-landscaped grass field and the state-of-the-art Parish Hall, sometime in October.
We say to our children, ...."patience is a virtue!" ...Let's model this then to our students! I am thoroughly convinced that the great support our school is receiving from our Pastor and the Parish, will be rewarded by an amazing learning environment for our children. I am looking forward to seeing your child and you on the first day of school!
Blessings!
Mrs. Beate Nguyen, M.A.Ed.
