Sale proceeds will benefit students going on next year's Washinton D.C. trip. Remember to send a dollar with your child on Fridays so they can participate. |

Save the Dates! The Summer Reading Bookfair will be here from Friday June 3rd through Monday June 13th. This is a great opportunity to stock up on books for summer reading. Please consider volunteering to work during the bookfair. Any amount of time is greatly appreciated.

It's that time of year! Spirit shirt designs are due in the clinic by Friday, June 3rd. Students will design the back of the shirt. Must include OLF, 2011-2012, and be more than 3 colors plus black ink. The design selected will be the official Spirit Shirt for the 2011-2012 school year. Good luck! |

Woman of the Year |
 Woman of the Year! We congratulate Aralu Velasquez, our afternoon clinic supervisor, on being nominated by Our Lady of Fatima Church for her outstanding service as a volunteer for our church. Since joining our parish five years ago, Aralu has become our parish's coordinator for Baptism Preparation ministry for the Spanish-speaking community as well as coordinator of Eucharistic Ministers. She serves as a lector at our 1:00 pm Sunday Mass and is a member of the Spanish Advisory Committee which consults with the pastor on issues facing the Hispanic community. Aralu is also a member of Jovenes para Christo (Youth for Christ) serving as its secretary and as a member of the intercessionary prayer group and hospital visitation ministry. Aralu and her husband Arturo have a two-year old daughter, Miranda.

Congratulations | CONGRATULATIONS to the following 4th grade students for successfully completing the 6-month Pizza Hut Book-It program for 2010-2011: MATTIE ARMENTA, LUKE DONNELLY, CARLI LAWRENCE, and ANGELO RAMOS. They have each read an additional 60 minutes or more per week (outside of schoolwork) from October through March. Besides obtaining a certificate for a free personal-size pizza each month, the students received an award certificate and were able to select items from the reward brochure. Great job!!

After School Care | After School Care for June: After School Care for June will be on a pay-as-you-use basis. Unless you are on contract and pay on the first of the month, you will need to pay each day you use ASC. NOTE: There will be NO ASC on June 17th. All students must be picked up by 10:00 on June 17th. Please be sure to have cash or check when you pick up your children from ASC each day in June, beginning next Wednesday!!!! |
