News on Newton's Attic
|
This is an exciting time for Newton's Attic, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing students with highly unusual educational experiences in math, science and physics, as it is growing and moving into new facilities, ones that will provide even more opportunities to inspire young people to embrace science and mathematics by driving their imaginations and creativity. As they are expanding the availability to serve more kids in Kentucky and beyond, there is still much that needs to be accomplished before their summer camps begin in May. As the need arises for help, so does inventor's opportunities: Newton's Attic is now offering a volunteer time exchange program. Here's some ways you can help: Volunteer. Volunteering at Newton's Attic is a life-changing experience, and they rely on the generosity of their volunteers to keep their program going. There is still much to be done before camps start at the end of May. They're looking for volunteers that are wood workers, electricians, landscapers, or anyone else that can lend a hand.
Register for a Summer Camp. With a limited marketing budget, word of mouth is extremely important. People are so happy when they see that Lexington has something like this, so we need your help in spreading the word.
See the Website. This is where you can see programs available for students, including Mechanalia and the summer day camps. Check it out at www.NewtonsAttic.com |
