Greetings!  

          Did you know that there is a little piece of the desert in the Children and Worship classroom?  It may look like a sandbox but it is our own special piece of the desert. Many of God's stories took place in the desert.  God led his people through the desert for forty years. There John the Baptist prepared the people for Jesus. There Jesus fasted, prayed and resisted temptation for forty days.  God provided for his people and revealed his love through Jesus in a very wild place. He cares for us wherever we are! Ministering with you, Sheryle Silvern    

 

Announcements

4th & 5th Grade Game Night

4th and 5th graders are invited to a game night on Saturday, January 21st from 6:30-8:00. Please bring a friend and a snack to share! Just come even if you didn't get a chance to sign up.  Watch your email or call me at 227-1965, if you have questions about a snow cancellation. 

 

Sandwich Sunday

The children will be making 200 bag lunches for The Lunch Box during Sunday School on February 12th.  The Lunch Box provides meals for people in need in Poughkeepsie. Please sign up to bring in an item that we need on the "Sandwich Board" in the Fellowship hall!

 

Cherubs Choir

Children in 1st-5th grades are invited to sing with the Cherubs Choir. We will be rehearsing this Sunday at 9:50 in Room F.                                                           Contact: Michelle Frego lmfrego@friontiernet.net.

 

SonRise National Park VBS 2012

Focus: Jesus wants us to give thanks for healing.

Focus: To help children know that Jesus was tempted like we are.

Lesson:  Lazarus

Focus:  Jesus shows he is the Son of God by raising Lazarus from the dead.

Scripture: John 11:1-44

Verse:  "This, then, is how you should pray:

'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil."
