Sandra: A Mother's Story
sandra Sandra, one of our new volunteers, shares with us her story of being a young mother and coping not only with her new diagnosis and life and career changes, but the emotional weight of metastatic breast cancer and raising two small children.

Sue: A Daughter's Story 
Sue was 11 years old when her mother was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. She and her father struggled to assist her mother, translating from English during her appointments and searching for support and information and often feeling confused and isolated.

There is no cost to participants to attend, other than the expenses involved in traveling to and from the retreat location. Participants will enjoy guided discussions about issues specific to women with metastatic breast cancer, including dealing with difficult feelings, living with advanced breast cancer, decreasing stress. There will be discussion groups, writing workshops, low-impact yoga, acupuncture sessions and much more.

MBCN is a national, independent, nonprofit, patient advocacy group dedicated to the unique concerns of the women and men living with metastatic breast cancer.
