Project Outreach Update

So far we have added 50 new contacts through Project Outreach and we're just getting started!

I know we've been playing telephone tag with a lot of you, but we will connect soon!

If Donna or Kim, our volunteer team, has left you a voicemail, please let them know when is a good time for you to talk. Call or email Donna at donnajpelletier@gmail.com

In the meantime, please send us your picture, so we can include you in our Home Page photo rotation. Also consider sharing your story with us--500 words or less and our editor Joani will assist you. Email your story to:  mbcn@mbcn.org

If you've already started working on Project Outreach, THANK YOU, and keep up the good work!

NEW Facebook Support Application
Faces of MBCFaces of MBC has launched a new "Circle of Support" Facebook app. This tool helps those living with MBC build a network of support, and helps caregivers and friends offer that support. Check it out at http://apps.facebook.com/mbccircleofsupport

Want to know more about the Faces of MBC "Circle of Support" Facebook app? Watch this video on how it works & how it may help you. www.facesofmbc.org

Send us your stories--gritty, grim, positive, negative. We want them all.

MBCN story editor Joani reports that she was surprised a few weeks ago to meet a woman who felt her story did not "fit" the positive template that MBCN wanted. Not true! Awareness means being open and sharing everyone's take on living with this disease.

Caryn's Story: We do what we do
CarynCaryn, one of our new volunteers, is not trying to be a superwoman. She's just living her life the best way she can, coping with her metastatic diagnosis and moving forward.

of her story and how she and her family have learned to be  satisfied with just "doing what we can do."
MBCN is a national, independent, nonprofit, patient advocacy group dedicated to the unique concerns of the women and men living with metastatic breast cancer. We strive to help those living with stage IV breast cancer be their own best advocate through providing education and information on treatments and coping with the disease.
