Project Outreach Update
VOLUNTEER

We are thrilled with the enthusiastic response from so many volunteers!

We are in the process of contacting you all, so please be patient! And thanks to those of you who have already started working!

If Donna, our volunteer co-ordinator, has left you a voicemail, please let her know when is a good time for you to talk with her.  Call or email Donna at donnajpelletier@gmail.com.  In the meantime, please send us your picture, so we can include you in our Home Page photo rotation. Also consider sharing your story with us--500 words or less and our editor Joani will assist you. Email your story to:  mbcn@mbcn.org

If you haven't volunteered yet to be part of the Outreach team, click on the button. You will work from your computer with our assistance to compile a list of contacts at hospitals, cancer centers and support organizations. Then you will call or visit the potential contacts. Personal relationship is key!

Focus on Palliative Care
RobertMillerASCOWhat is Palliative Care? You may have heard this relatively new term and wondered what it meant. Palliative Care, also called Supportive Care, is not the same as Hospice or End of Life Care. Click on the video to hear Dr. Robert Miller explain what palliative care is.

ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncologists) feels this is so important for every patient that they've issued new guidelines for oncologists.

We also have several new links on our website to explain this further.
