Russian Company Offers 'Preliminary' Specifications for GLONASS CDMA Signal. Manufacturers are encouraged to experiment with the GLONASS-K satellite demonstration signal, due for flight-testing later this year. The invitation was issued by RSS, a consortium of 10 Russian government agencies and private companies that have been combined into a single joint stock company led by the former Russian Institute of Space Device Engineering. EC Outlines GNSS Applications Action Plan. In a plea for €362 million more for Galileo, the European Commission outlined a GNSS applications action plan on June 14. The additional money would support GNSS user equipment and application market development over the next four years. (more)
