Gateway Land and
Development
Gateway Land & Development is been a long-time
client of All Mountain Technologies. Facing older,
failing server hardware they had to make a change at
a time when the economy has been particularly hard
on the real estate industry. We were able to design
and implement a solution that gained efficiencies
while at the same time minimizing capital expenses
normally associated with a server migration. AMT was
able to work creatively with Gateway to spread out
the cost of the server migration project and move up
the implementation timeframe to meet their needs.
Gateway’s new cloud server infrastructure is just as
fast from both of their office locations while
access and support has improved for all of their
brokers. If you are interested seeing if a "move to
the cloud" will make sense for your business, give
us a call:

Note from the CEO |
|
At AMT, we know the economy has made things tough
for a lot of people. I’m proud of the fact we can be
creative when it comes to getting our business
partners into the IT infrastructure solution that
they need without large up front capital
expenditures. For example, we can provide hardware
as part of our service and - especially for our
hosted and cloud solutions - we can roll our initial
project fees into the monthly bills spread over
longer periods of time to help with cash flow.
Our
satisfaction comes from helping our clients mitigate
some of the effects of this rough economy. It is
rewarding when our partners have the right IT
systems and have improved operational efficiencies
that contribute right to their bottom line.

Thinking About Hiring Your Own
Internal IT Staff – Think Again! |
Outsourcing your IT brings
additional
business value
by Stuart Crawford, President and CMO
of Ulistic,
Republished August 2011 and used with permission.
Businesses
today wrestle and grapple with the thought of hiring their own
technology support staff to support their daily need for IT support
without fully understanding the risks and the costs associated with
having their own team of technology professionals.
Business owners, C level execs and Managers are attracted to the idea of having a team or a consultant readily available within shouting distance down the hall, basically having an IT resource committed to them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, many of today’s business owners across the country are not aware of the total risks their business is exposed to by electing to bring their technology support in-house.

What's
good for the environment can also make incredibly good
business sense. By taking advantage of green IT strategies
such as virtualization and server consolidation, midsized
businesses can realize immediate ROI in 2010. What's more,
today's energy-efficient technologies do more than just
alleviate power and cooling costs. Green IT solutions can
also have a significant impact on company-wide operational
efficiency.

Randi Smith-Todorowski's business was in the wrong place at
the right time.
Atlas Martial
Arts, the business she co-founded in Scottsdale, Ariz., was
thriving. But the local economy wasn't. "The enthusiasm was
there," she says. "But people were cutting back on luxury
items, taking second jobs and traveling for work."
So with the
end of their five-year lease imminent, Smith-Todorowski and
her partner did what an increasing number of businesses are
doing: they took their business virtual.

Value of Social
Media part 1:
Online Networking
reprinted with permission
from the HP Small Business Center |

If you could
connect to the world's business professionals, in the time
it takes to check your email, wouldn't you? Welcome to the
world of online networking, where valuable business
connections are made every day on social and professional
networking sites like Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin.
Social and
professional networking simply refers to the interaction
between a community of people who share a common interest.
Through these personal connections you make with an
otherwise impersonal medium, you can give your business a
personality, build brand awareness, and equally importantly,
tune in to what people are saying about you.
